Deltronic Thread Wire Sets provide high-precision tools for inspecting pitch diameter using the 3-wire method for inch-based threads. Designed to deliver reliable and repeatable measurements, each set includes three wire elements manufactured to exacting tolerances and certified for traceability. These wire sets are ideal for use in quality assurance, metrology labs, and high-precision machining operations where adherence to tight specifications is critical.

Each 3-wire set is supplied in a labeled screw-top vial, protected in a hinged-lid case. The case label and included Certificate of Accuracy specify both the thread pitch and the calibrated wire size, ensuring clear identification and traceable performance. These wires match the standard best-wire diameters for inch-based threads and conform to Deltronic’s rigorous quality benchmarks.

Within each set, the three wires are matched within ±0.000005" of calibrated size to ensure measurement consistency. The wire set diameter is held to ±0.000020", and each wire is calibrated to within ±0.000010" of nominal. Roundness tolerance is maintained at ±0.000010", while surface finish exceeds 2 µin AA, lapped for smooth, consistent contact. The wires are also hardened to Rc 62–64 and cold-stabilized to preserve dimensional accuracy over time.
